If Trev can play some passable back up 1, it could have a great positive ripple effect on the rotation.
  1. It would give him something to do when the the shots aren't falling.
  2. Our PG depth is woefully thin. Any depth helps.
  3. It would open up some time for Buss at the 2. Maybe BJ too.
  4. g can get extra burn in the front court. I don't love him down low in the zone, but he's better there than BJ is. g playing more 3 keeps McCullough and Roberson playing more 4. This is good because...
  5. Rak stays at 5. With or without DC2, I want to see XMas playing center.

This was discussed a bunch in the offseason. We'll see what happens. Hopefully all Cooney and Silent G did in the offseason was work on their handle. I doubt we see Cooney there. Personally I don't want to see that. Cooney needs to blow by defenders off the bounce when they close out on him hard. Or pump fake then take a couple of dribbles to shoot, pass, or drive. He did this occasionally. Silent G will probably be backing up Joseph primarily.

I like the thought of a BJ/Cooney backcourt for scoring reasons, but would be suprised to see much of it. I don't think we will see Gbinije out of the game much when Kaleb is out.
