As much as we joke about him taking 20 shots a game, to get to 113 3s at maybe a more modest 37.5 3-pt %, he needs to take 300+ attempts just from 3. In his career, Joe takes about 60% of his FGA from three. That's would equate to more than 500 total FGA in a season. Over ~34 games, that is 14-15 FGA per game. Totally doable. None of those numbers would exceed SU top-ten season highs. Depends more on the pace of the offense.

That would also make him 2nd for total 3s. He currently has 209. GMac has 400. Buddy has 309. He could break the record if he changes his mind and uses his covid year.

If his teammates can force no double teams/shade overs he should do quite well, as you said with the penetrating guards doing their thing.

I've heard Jim is allowing Joe one hook shot from half court as well, as long as one of his teammates isn't over the half court line, because then SU's get called for off sides, eh?
