He's never been a top 50 QB. The board experts who proclaimed that Nassib was not the problem, while also projecting a profitable NFL future, were simply wrong. Marrone is far too protective of Nassib: the whole reason we never see Hunt, and that AB was so under wraps, is to prevent a QB controversy. Hackett always calls a passive gameplan knowing that Nassib is a turnover machine when running an aggressive offense. Having a weak QB limits almost everything a team can try to do, but the apologists never tire of blaming receivers, OL, coaches, and everyone else simultaneously.

If he can punt though, I think we'll take a look in the second round.

By the way- I get the irony, me posting about a team having a lousy QB. Please keep it civil.

It all starts with pass blocking.

he's good at putting long balls out of bounds

Obviously we need to bring back the quick kick...

I may be getting confused, but is the argument here that Nassib is no good? It is hard to be civil when someone posts a thread with an asinine premise. To look at this team and their issues, it is very hard for me to look at Ryan ?Nassib and say that the problem lies there. Again i may be reading your point wrong mainly because it was lacked any true comedic, or factual value.

Haven't heard from you in a while. You made abig deal about those of us that praised Scoop last year. Then you left. Did you notice the rest of the season when he was on the floor at the end of any game that was close. Same thing here. Ryan is the least of our problems. He has had a very good year. The rest of the team, not so much. Name the QB's in the Big East that you would want in front of him. It's a short list.

someone bumped a really old post and it wasn't cali

what is happening

Good thing he has a pro LT and a pro WR.

He might have more than 1 pro lineman. I can see Trudo getting looks in a couple years. He might even have 2 pro WR's. He himself might be a pro. So what's your point?

Did you see Nassib fumble that opening kickoff?

We have issues across the board that rear their ugly heads too much. Nassib isn't the reason for all of them. He's had a very good year.

best qb at SU since McNabb...i'm not sure how that can even be debated.

You bumped THIS thread?

That's nuts. How in the world do you think this season has validated your original thoughts?

He's 11th in passing yds, 11th in total offense, 22nd in TD passes. Hell he's 44th in passer rating, which was deemed impossible here.

He didn't bump the thread but picked right back up where he left off

Can you just admit you were way wrong about Nassib all along? You look foolish foolish.

This was the same fool that told us that last season the two LSU QBs ... Lee and Jefferson would be first day NFL selection ... if any of you have any sense you will just let him be .. he knows absolutely nothing about the game of football ... I remember the debate last season when he was asked to provide a list of QBs better than Nassib .. including the two aforementioned LSU QBs who are bagging groceries at Wegmans .. he listed a bunch of other jokers who just aren't as good as Nassib ... its amazing how quiet he was for so long. For those that don't know him don't bother wasting your time ... his NFL "connections" apparently didn't inform him that Lee and Jefferson suck as well as some of the other names he threw out there. Its funny how he went dark for a while ... now he is back ... lovely.
