With 5 more games to go, if Harris can maintain a 5 receptions per game average he'll comfortably land in the mid 40s for receptions.

I believe that sets a new receptions record for a freshman.

Thanks for posting this. His progression thus far this year has been awesome. Check out how his stats have grown each week! What a steal of a recruit he was...

He’s been unbelievable this year. What a recruitment class

Last I knew, Alec Lemon had the record with 29. I don't think anyone has broken that yet...

These guys need some pounds on them
I thought I was skinny until seeing our wrs

Taj had that big catch in the FSU game called back to. Has he had a couple catches negated by penalty?

You have to think he is getting more comfortable every week with the offense. I think the Devin Butler experiment is finally over. Excited to see Taj light it up the rest of the way!

This makes me happy, Devin is still in my dog house from his week 1 performance of not going hard

Good catch. I must have remembered wrong. He was second.

Syracuse University

I was just thinking of possible names and looking them up. Couldn't come up with anyone else who could be on that list? Lemon is 29, Ishmael is 27. Harrison didn't break out until sophomore year. Qadry was later than that. Rob Moore (you're dead) in 1987 only had 8 catches outside of the catch heard around the world.

The candidates would Spot, Alec, Rob Moore, Shelby

I know it was out of bounds, but the catch that Taj made where he was running down the sideline, but the ball was well behind him. He stopped on the spot and was some how able to turn his whole body and catch a heater across his body. This kid has a crazy catch radius. I am sure teams will start to jam him and increase their physicality, but he has such quickness the kid will be tough be tough to contain. He can put up video game numbers his last couple years.

Give Dino a few more years... ;)

Interestingly, if the pipeline is "full," as it appears to be (or becoming), we may not see very many frosh with big numbers (let's say, >25 receptions) as there will be quality and experienced depth ahead of them. Unless a truly transcendent talent comes along...which I am VERY much okay with!

Yeah, I think he lost 2 to penalties.

Chip has it right. Shelby Hill had 33 as a freshman in 1990 according to cuse.com
