Teams that require this much individual and team development on both ends of the floor are often inconsistent. It is a "two steps forward, one step back" process. Though there have definitely been improvements, the team just doesn't possess a collection of players with polished fundamentals this season.
The only thing that bothered me was the lack of defensive effort at the end of the first half. There are defensive mistakes, and then there is a lack of fight. The team displayed the latter yesterday in the waning moments of the first 20 minutes. It's human nature; the shots weren't falling on the one end, so the effort disappeared on the other. The good news is that the players didn't continue that helpless lack of intensity in the second half.
