After the first weekend, its pretty obvious that all those prognisticators have as much "expertise" as any other fan.
We devote thread after thread, post after post, to a bunch of fricken guesses by the likes of Gottlieb, Dukie V, Digger, Davis, Bilas, Goldberg, etc...
The results confirm that they're all just talking outta their asses, like everyone else. Can we officially step off their jocks & treat them with the disdain they deserve???

Vanderbilt: GONE.
Florida State: GONE.
Long Beach State: GONE.
UNLV: GONE.
Memphis: GONE.

We heard about these teams ad nauseum, either for most of the season or right after the conference tourneys. Not one of them stuck. Not one.

Meanwhile, we heard about how weak the Big East is this year, yet 25% of the Sweet 16 is from this conference, including the top two regular season finishers and the top two BET finishers.

To be fair it's their job to watch basketball and evaluate it, and I guarantee they watch and study it a lot more than any of us do. However, when it comes down to it it's really hard to pick stuff like this because you don't know how teams truly matchup till you're between the lines.

If any of those guys actually watched Wichita State this year, they would have had VCU all the way.
