Last night we looked like we did against Pitt and West Virginia after looking so good Saturday against a smaller St. John's team.

This rebounding illness has been something which has plagued SU off...but mostly on... over the years.

Is there a solution we can find?...Some remedy?...Some cure before March?...Before the madness begins?... When it becomes sudden death!

Right now we are choking on our own vomit!

But somehow we keep escaping with wins.

We did not escape against Notre Dame. Which means we won't escape against some of the other landmine's like those we've faced in the past such as Richmond, Navy, Rhode Island, Vermont, Alabama, Texas A&M etc without more attention to this very important detail.

If you are a student you had better be strong in all areas of your studies. When the test's come and you're not prepared, you will fail.

If Syracuse doesn't do something about this rebounding problem soon, then this team which has a world of potential will go down as one of those listed above. High on potential but not remembered with kindness.

Is there a rebounding guru who can be brought in to remedy this malady?

Is there someone on the staff who can get through to these players?

Is there a good video that the guys can study in their rooms much as Fab studied Rick Jackson's tapes while in China with Team Brazil.

(Fab now credits that video study as well as his better fittness for his improved play this season.)

It couldn't hurt to have each guy study videos of good rebounding.

Read books on great rebounders.

Remember what one of our biggest problem was back in 2003?

Do you remember what the most glaring weakness of that team was?

Going into the finals against Kansas it was the number one concern!

It was getting back on defense.

Yes Syracuse was weak getting back on defense.

Kansas' strength was fast breaking off of both made and missed baskets by the other team.

That was my main concern for our team.

We all saw how the Jayhawks ran that Dwayne Wade led Marquette team off the floor with the fast break.

Somehow, some way, someone, somewhere, got through to our players to get back on defense.

Hopefully there is someone on this staff who can perform the same magic but this time with the area of rebounding.

We need a rebounding transformation just like the transition defense improvement we got in 2003.

We have NBA size and athleticism and we should be better. I think we will. We have another chance to prove ourselves against UCONNs frontline.

If JB's brutal honesty didnt embarass them, I dont know what will.
