had them sitting as a 10, possibly on the placeholder/assumption they'd win the aac tourney... he's always been a transparent promoter of Philly teams... lol

I mean, look, the committee could somehow put them in. But at the very best (for them) they are in the group of teams that are hanging on the cut line. Last team in is best they can hope for

But Temple beat UConn twice and finished 3 games ahead of them in the standings. They are a STONE COLD LOCK

I wonder if Lunardi knows he's going to be wrong on 2 or 3 but just for personal reasons or whatever keeps pushing them, thinking he'll sway the committee's decisions

Live look into the ESPN studio at bracketologist Joe Lunardi--

Is there a way to pay realtime RPI for it to live up to it's name? I'm starting to feel like I'm nearing obsession mode. As of this morning we were at 70. I'm curious what UConn has done for us. Has anyone seen it updated elsewhere?

Going by the data, Lunardi isn't very highly rated as one of the better "bracketologist" -- his main advantage is the ESPN platform. Plenty of experts who are historically better than him don't have Temple in the field.

lol of course he does...

Chris how do you see Temple?

i have them just in as there out of conference losses(unc, utah, wisc, st joes, nova show they played a good ooc schedule) combined with there metrics(rpi, bpi, kenpom avg) and winning aac out right regular season squeek them in as there are flaws with all of my last 5 under consideration for 2 spots

espn has us at 68

Respectfully disagree. It's nice they played those tough OOC games but they won 0 of them. And their ECU loss is as bad as our St. Johns loss. ACC > aac

The committee has spent the last 2 years dumping on the AAC and now because Temple won that conference regular season by default because of SMU. Lunardi is a hacksaurus rex. Temple's resume is not better than Syracuse's.
Temple did play people in the nonconference but they lost them all.

Lunardi is the Frank Luntz of bracketologists. Just because he was first doesn't mean he is good at all.

In the AAC as an eleven team league, you play 8 teams twice, and 2 teams once.

Guess what team Temple only had to play once? And had them at home -- SMU. The 14-4 record is almost as fake as the Pac12. It is exaggerated by 1 game.

vandy, temple, valpo and monmouth were my last group for 1 spot

who would you put in vandy, temple, valpo or monmouth if 1 spot was available

I swear these guys like Lunardi just don't do the necessary analysis of the facts. Or he is as I said a hacksaurus rex who uses his opinions mixed with the numbers and those prejudices are obvious.
