Who is going to take on a 16 millionper year sally on a guy who is questionable on the mound. He isn't a NYC pitcher and never will be. Not the first or last to fumble in the Big Apple. I'd rather a kid get a chance at making it here in the stadium. Banuelos Betances or Phelps would be good for starters. There are a number of pitchers on the highway to NY. Its a toll road to be sure and they have paid enough to cross the bridge and onto the mound for a shot.

Yanks would need to pick up a portion of his salary and package him with another prospect. He's probably worth $6-8 million to some National League team.

In that ce get rid of him now and take the 8 million hit8 million without AJ is better than 16 with AJ Put the saved 8 million to a FA pitcher who might be dependable and can finish a game with a 10+ run leadwith out cursing Joe coming off the mound.
