According to Chris Broussard... Sources: Cavs shopping Dion Waiters. They've spoken w/Chi, NYK & Philly. No deal imminent. Waiters is open to being traded. Cavs' targets 4 Waiters - Shumpert (NYK), Deng (Chi), Evan Turner (Philly)... also went on to say the confrontation he had with a player was Tristan Thompson, not Kyrie.....As a Knicks fan, I'd love to see them get Dion, but giving up Shump(even though he's been putrid) is ehhhh. And even Philly and Chi...not sure if they'd want to give up those 2 guys, although Deng is getting up there in age. I wonder if a team would be willing to give Dion PG minutes. I've always thought he can easily handle the position, and has done so when Kyrie has been hurt. Great penetrator, not the greatest shooter. If the Knicks would give him time there, sign me up for that.

Nyc or philly I think he would do well. Knicks backcourt is awful right now.

I wear orange colored glasses, like most of you. That said, this does not speak well to the young man's character.

I feel like pairing Dion with Rose would really not be much better than pairing him with Kyrie lol.

I love Dion and was my favorite player his sophomore year. I don't like the way he plays in the NBA. When he was the best scoring option for us, loved his game, when there are other guys who can score around him in the NBA he still plays like he's the only guy who can score which could work if you were like Kobe Durant or Melo. He needs to pass the ball more often and not take those garbage shots he does.

Weird. Tristan Thompson is one of the most likeable guys around. Total jokester and goofball like Donte Greene. Well spoken kid. I think the only way Dion can thrive is to handle the ball and to a place that will let him play lots of PG. Just my opinion.

Could you imagine if he went Philly and played well with MCW?

Everyone would come out of the woodwork; WHY DIDN'T JB BENCH TRICHE AND SCOOP IN 2012; CLEARLY DION AND MCW WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER

Dion should have had more minutes his second year, no question in my mind. No problem with MCW sitting though.

Agreed. It would be a bit funny though; 2 NBA lottery picks are starting together in the same backcourt in the league and when they were here together they were on the bench behind 2 guys who aren't in the NBA.

But I'm with you, JB handled it right for the most part but Dion should have got some more run.

This - his game has not transferred well to the NBA. He has to seriously adjust his game. He absolutely kills offensive momentum for the Cavs.

Shump is done in NY. I make that trade in a second. We desperately need a guard who can penetrate.

Buddy ball. Ive had to suffer through that innumerable times in pickup games.

I don't imagine the Cavs are dealing from a position of strength here. If a deal gets done, the other team should go for the jugular.

I think Philly would be better for Dion with MCW and Noel and another lottery pick coming this year

Yup, Knicks need a guy who can create on offense. Shumpert is not one of those guys. Unfortunately, it's a considerable downgrade on the defensive side, so it's a tough one.

Like I said back then MCW was the best player on the team that year and he hardly played.

The way Turner has been playing this year... That trade would be a steal for Cleveland. I also don't understand how anyone feels Dion would make a good PG... He has never had good passing instincts or shown ability to want to run an offense. He's always been all about scoring and that's why as a instant offense off the bench is his greatest strength for a team.

Can the Knicks throw in JR Knucklehead too. If yes, deal.

kyrie has taken care of that role. He attacks without purpose and takes too many bad shots. Dion needs to develop but it is very hard to do with a ball hog inconsistent pg like kyrie

If he went to the Knicks, who gets the ball the most Dion or Carmelo? This would not end nicely.

Eh. Dion got into fights with teammates at least once, maybe twice in HS. I was hopeful that it was just immaturity. Guess he hasn't grown up yet. This is not a good development for him. I don't want him anywhere near MCW, the whole team would change for the worse.

Love Dion's talent...never been a fan of him as a person, which compromises his significant skills. A dose of humility would do him a world of good...probably never going to happen and will cost him $.
