Class of 2014 CB Kyron Brown (FL) Offered

or it's conditional and we're using it to start building a relationship...

Sure that could be the case, but since it's November and we don't have any cb commitments, and the likelihood of landing all 3 is minimal I am betting were looking for at least 1 commit for now. We can't roll the dice and wait all the way until Signing day when those guys are expected to announce and be stuck with nothing.

We have three DB recruits, and the kid from Illinois projects at a CB.

Corners. Safeties we are fine at. Is it still questionable which position Dawson will end up at but I believe he was recruited as a corner who would eventually be a safety. We need at least 2 pure corners

Naes, Williams and Dawson are all DB’s. Whether they are corners or safeties at this point who knows.

This kid is likely insurance and I'd bet does not have a committable offer.

IMO there is a big difference between someone recruited as a strong safety and someone recruited as a corner. They are 2 separate positions, and both Williams and Howard have each said on multiple occasions that's what they were recruited as. I am sure a lot of corners could play safety, but I don't think many safeties could play corner.

Agree and I believe Naes and Williams are recruited safeties, but none of their listed sizes scream safety. Those are college corner sizes.

Naes : 5-11 185
Williams : 5-10 180
Dawson : 5-11 180

My assumption is 2 more cornerbacks (and possibly only 1) to the class.

"Brown, who finished his senior season with six interceptions (team-high), 12 pass breakups, 40 tackles (3 TFL), seven big hits, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries (1 fumble recovery for TD) and a QB pressure, said he won’t de-commit from Akron – for now.
“It depends on how my other visits go,” the defensive back said of Akron. “But as of this moment, I’m still committed to them.”
Brown (No. 24; Prep Builders HOT 25) will be taking his second official visit to Syracuse next month with Atlantic 2014 WR Adly Enoicy. And later in January, the Boynton Beach cornerback is scheduled to take flight for visits to Purdue and UCF, provided those two schools actually extend an offer to him."

Not nearly enough for development and immediate help back there.

Brown is the only one from the Boynton Beach trio to have secured an offer from #Syracuse at this time
I think they have bad info, don't think Brown will be allowed to commit if he wanted to.

Like these B-listers more than a lot of others we have had in the past!

Agree. Dowels, Prater and Lawrence probably ahead of Kyron. If two of the above commit, we should be done at DB.[/quote]

Didn't I read here Kyron made 3rd team FL all-state team this year? I believe Adly was honorable mention. Not a bad prospect for a so called 'B lister'.

Boynton Beach CB Kyron Brown, who was down to Syracuse & Akron, said Cuse may be out of race. He has not been able to reach #Cuse coaches.

Well that answers that.
