Tuned in to catch their analysis of our game. They were none too impressed, repeatedly dismissing it as getting a ton of calls and escaping with the win. All the analysis I saw was focused on how great Duke is. This was by their anchor scrub and the towering intelligence of Mateen Cleaves. Gottlieb did in passing say we are the best team in the country. Seth Davis "shockingly" says Florida should be the number one team. Imagine if we had lost!

cbs is a garbage dump for sports analysis right now. it sucks they own the tourney rights. obviously its nostalgic since they have always had it but between goodman, davis, gottlieb, kellogg etc etc they are a bunch of twits. Also its no surprise they downplay this game since espn owned it. By their mark the UK -Mizzou game is probably the biggest game of the year or some BS like that.

Seth Davis is a blithering idiot. He never has anything to say which is based on fact or astute observation of the game and it's players. He is like a shock jock who spews arcane vitriol expressly for the purpose of antagonizing specific fan bases while ultimately attempting to draw attention to himself rather than the sport he covers.

He was accused of "gerbilling" by his college room mate so why should we lend him any credibility whatsoever?

Whatever. Dickie V of all people stated the game was officiated well enough to be a legit game. Jay Williams himself said that the block that Christmas had at the end was clean. Few questionable calls for both sides, but that's basketball. Not nearly as bad as the officiating we saw with the Pitt Game.

Per ESPN: "Syracuse scored a season-high 1.34 points per possession (91 points in 68 possessions) in its win Saturday against Duke. The Blue Devils averaged 1.29. Combined, it was the second-most efficient game this season between two major conference teams. The average for a game between two major conference teams is 1.04 points per possession." Cuse shot a season high 57% and Duke made a season high 15 3's, most they've hit in over 3 years.

Low amount of turnovers, high scoring, physical, high energy game. Amazing to watch. Both teams have a lot to gain from it. Can't wait for rematch.
