The old and brittle are being carried off the roster and letting youth be served.At least they are getting chances they ordinarily would not be given from management. Not ll these kids will succeed of course but some will and thats the all you can expect or hope for. Maybe at some point the Yankees will find an incredible offensive star. Jack Cave is making noise but won't see NY until maybe this fall.

Solarte has been on fire. Offensively the Yankees will be fine. It is really the pitching they have to worry about. After losing Nova, CC, & Pineda, they have to count on guys like Nuno and Whitley. How long can these guys be as good as they are?

When they get Beltran back it will be like acquiring a hitter at the deadline.
