I think going to 16 teams by just adding more at larges would be too much. We don't need 11 at larges. Going to 24 with multiple auto bids for conferences is even worse.

I think going to 20 makes the most sense if it is the 10 conference champs and 10 at larges (which adds only 3 more). So using the above rankings it would be...

1. Ohio State (B1G Champ) vs JMU (SBC Champ) vs PAC Champ
2. Indiana (at large) vs 24. Tulane (AAC Champ) vs MWC Champ
3. A&M (SEC Champ) vs 16. GA Tech (ACC Champ) vs MAC Champ
4. UGA (at large) vs 13. Miami (at large) vs CUSA Champ
5. Texas Tech (B12 Champ) vs 10. Bama (at large)
7. Oregon (at large) vs 11. BYU (at large)
6. Ole Miss (at large) vs 12. Utah (at large)
8. Oklahoma (at large) vs 9. Notre Dame (at large)

14. Vandy (1st team out)
15. USC (2nd team out)

So by conference...
SEC - 5
B1G, B12 - 3
ACC - 2
ND, G6s - 1

That said I do see Oregon and Miami losing another game which would change things.

I think all but the B1G would vote for this too. The G6s certainly would. The ACC should as they are safe with the champ and have a shot at multiple. Same for the B12. SEC isn't capped. And ND has access.
