I could see Texas being the 2nd team left out. I think they can beat A&M and I see a bunch of teams losing this week.

BYU winning out could cause Bama to miss the playoffs again. And if Bama were to win the SEC, Notre Dame gets left out in that scenario.

If Oregon loses does the B1G only get 2?

Sagarin Rankings

We dropped a bit to 92nd. Which is now LAST in the ACC, LAST of the Northeastern P4s, but barely first in NY State. Our SOS thus far is 8th!!! We have four Top 20 teams on our schedule, and six Top 30. But we only play two teams ranked between 29th and 74th. But we only play two teams outside the Top 77. We are now one spot away from being the 2nd worst P4.

We are setup for SU vs BC with the loser being the worst ACC team, 2nd worst P4 team this year (no one is catching Okie State), and worst P4 in the Northeast. We are also in danger of not being the best in NY State.

The ACC has only two Top 25 teams, but there are 9 teams between 27th and 52nd. But also has two of the bottom four P4s.

The SEC has 0.0 Top 4 teams but five of the Top 11, eight of the Top 17, twelve of the Top 26, and the worst team is only 53rd.

The B1G has three of the Top 4, but has seven teams worse than the SEC's worst.

The Sun Belt has the highest G6 conference leader, and CUSA has the lowest ranked conference leader.

I would like to play Northeastern G6s OOC. Temple, Buffalo, Delaware, UMass (worst FBS team) are all outside the Top 120. Navy, UConn, Army are all outside the Top 70.

Same for the Northeastern P4s. Rutgers, West Virginia, Maryland are all outside the Top 60. Only Penn State is highly ranked.

Odd that I am seeing a lot of talk about Michigan still having a chance. Danielson thought so too. There is no way you can have them jump any higher than 12th, which is well outside of the playoffs still.

Other than wishful thinking, can anyone explain why the committee (and everyone else for that matter) insists on putting Miami into the bracket when they are very unlikely to get into the ACC championship game? Why don't they just put "ACC Champion" in the #11 slot? Are they trying to say they'll take Miami over UVa and SMU (who are in "win and you're in" status)?

I think the committee does it to position them for a potential at large bid if there is chaos in other leagues

If Oregon loses at Washington then Michigan is in the Big Ten championship game
