Just watched Chancellor Syerud's message about the 150th anniversary of SU and how we'll persevere and have a great celebration anyways. His speech is rather mundane, but this is the best I've felt about SU since...ever! It's because the finale to the message is a Hendricks Chapel choral rendition of the Aaronic Benediction (The Lord bless you and keep you... from Numbers 6:24ff)
It's been so long since I've heard much of anything that reflects a soul of humble hope from my alma mater. It's almost as if we remembered our Methodist founding. Outstanding that we put that out in the midst of a crisis!!
