Just thought I'd talk about a couple of things regarding :) this post. There is and has been a great deal of discussion now and in the past about how we don't get the higher rated athletes and what to do about it. I don't think there's anything you can do about it. Except to be sure you have the best recruiters out there and have repeat 10 win seasons. The rich seem to get richer or stay rich, the upper crust stays the same, the mid range stays the same. Everyone's recruiting the same kids. The best want to go to the best schools and most of the time that's what happens and what's going to happen. And sometimes there is a player like Chandler Jones who had great size for his position in high school at DE 6'6”, 235, 4.95 40 and even though he was All Northeast and 8th best player in N.Y. He was still rated 2 stars of 5 by Scout and Rivals. The difference here is that he wanted it, worked like hell to develop himself his natural talent turned heads and propelled him to the NFL and he is now the best OLB pass rusher in the NFL and not going out too far on a limb I say he'll be, barring a career ending injury, an NFL HOFER. So, sometimes star ratings don't mean anything and those that have them end up sitting or never play or don't believe in themselves enough to work hard and get to the top and some do. Those that do are rewarded in their performance and salary. Chandler is being compensated for his football acumen at an average of 16.5 M each year for 5 years. I read this somewhere: Sports Truest Rule It is not about the shoe, nor the helmet, stick, bat, ball, club, glove, bike, racket, suit or uniform. It is the desire within the human heart. The unseen, unimaginable work that must be accomplished - the uncompromising will to be the best that makes the difference between the good athlete and the truly remarkable in sport. I hope we get more 2 – 3 stars with the possibilities of C. JONES Merry Christmas everyone. GOSU :)
