If I wanted recognition, I’d buy an ad just saying that I support my local team.  If I owned a company and had money, I’d have a commercial promoting my company and its commitment to SU and the community. I’d be an SU sponsor including ads in the dome during games like so many other firms already do. I’d sponsor a money making golf tournament, pickleball tournament etc to support my team etc. I’d buy game tickets for organizations like Big Brothers, children’s welfare organizations, schools, military families etc to attract a new generation of fans. I’d buy and donate tickets to be auctioned off at charity events hoping to cultivate even more interest in the community for my team while also supporting a worthy community charity. (heck even I’ve done that). It’s not really hard.
