Anyone like to puff on cigars here? I like to puff on them sometimes, i dont inhale them or anything. It has a calming effect or its just in my head. I ve been introduced to Kuba Kuba acid cigars which arent bad. Any recommendations?

Sorry, no recommendations although I'm an occasional cigar "smoker" for special events but definitely not an aficionado. I did see this show in Bangkok about 10 years ago in which the performer "puffed" on a cigar with her no-no spot. It was pretty amazing from a talent perspective but I nearly got ill when she gave it to a Japanese dude in the audience who smoked it. I'm pretty sure he's gotta be dead now.

Not too often - I mostly enjoy one during a round of golf during the summer. Or sometimes I'll have one with a nice glass of scotch on a nice summer evening while getting ready to do some grilling. Not enough to consider myself a connoisseur by any means, but I do enjoy them.

Now you got me itching for the course and warm weather again. You suck.

Are you looking for something light or something a little stronger? And what cost range are you looking in?

I used to enjoy some cohiba's and macanudo's... try a few of thems.

Having lived in Tampa for 25 years, I've enjoyed a good cigar...Arturo Fuente Double Chateau is an excellent cigar. I now live in Atlanta but still order them from my Tampa store in Ybor City area of Tampa.

Whatevers good.

Lately, my favorites have been the CAO MX2 and Rocky Patel Vintage 1992.

If you're able to get your hands on any Cuban cigars, the Montecristo #2 is excellent. That's all I ended up smoking on my honeymoon in Jamaca....well cigar wise.

I'd suggest getting a small humidor from Tampa Humidor to start out and check out some of the sampler packs on the Corona Cigar Company's website.

Macanudo
Novice smokers can never go wrong with a Macanudo. These are great "golfing" cigars if you need something to satisfy a Saturday 4-Some

C.A.O Cameroon's
These are my personal favorites. Great flavor...really smooth

Cohiba's
Unless you are smoking a genuine Cuban Cohiba, don't waste your money. The Dominican Cohibas that are sold state-side are really overpriced and aren't all that great. All you're really paying for is the label.

Romeo & Julieta's
Quality cigar. Excellent flavors.

Arturo Fuente
Agree with Cisco's write-up above. Another one of my "change of pace" smokes.

Tips:
If you don't smoke cigars regularly, stay with the "Mild" brands. Going with the full flavored cigars is a waste of money.

Buy a cigar in the Corona or Robusto size range. Anything bigger and you really start to lose the flavor

Don't overheat the cigar. Puff...Puff...Puff...Puff...Puff... Overheating the cigar makes the tobacco taste like crap. Give the cigar a chance to cool down between puffs. Remember, this isn't like smoking a cigarette. Take your time and enjoy it.

If you just like an occasional quick gar and want it inexpensive. Tampa Jewels are great and they have a wooden tip so you you don't get tobacco in your mouth. Not a real "Cigar" by most peoples standards but I enjoy them from time to time. All my buds in my dart league years ago used to smoke them.

Don't inhale? You're not supposed to inhale, unless you want to become sick.

the occasional ashton 8-9-8 . one box will last me all year.

ehhh, Im not a professional or anything, but while in college I tried Phillies , nothing special, I tried a load of their flavors too...
I tried another kind, maybe wild bill, I think they were mild, not to bad...
If I do have a cigar its usually a black and mild, ALWAYS wood tip, favorites are Wine and Cream...

Also I had one at college, I have no idea what kind they were...but they came in a metal tin, very small tin, maybe 10 in it, they were small cigars, but the taste was astounding....Id give anything to remember what they were, one of my old roommates gave it to me

Get some authentic Cuban Cohibas. If you're going to do it without becoming serious about it, get a cigar that will make it seem worthwhile. When i was semi-involved in cigars years ago, i tried a bunch of different brands, but the only ones i remember fondly are the Cohibas.
