I’m with you. The steaks have been mediocre. The quality of other food is mediocre. And I saw somewhere that like 90 pct of the products in the store now are “wegmans brand”. And don’t even get me started on the traffic at the Fayetteville one. I’ve been going to Lombardis since I moved backHot take: Wegman’s is fine. Totally, absolutely just fine.

Man you should be a trial lawyer. Way to go ! Spot on!It'll fit in perfectly there: over-hyped; overpriced; good people at lower levels (AH's at the top). In Rochester, we've grown up watching their management practices deteriorate since Bob died. Around the same period they cancelled sponsorship of the women's PGA at locust hill; started substituting "Wegmans" brand for national brands on a mass scale; raised prices; moved merchandise every few months to confuse customers into buying different products; sold their soul to the Chinese for non-grocery items; taken money from vendors in exchange for allowing them to order inventory and even stack Wegmans shelves. You get the idea."Food you feel good about" has become "the business model you despise".
Safeway out west is also going heavy into their store brands.I’m with you. The steaks have been mediocre. The quality of other food is mediocre. The entrance ànd lanes are just not setup right. Its always interesting when you have to turn left, 2 lanes are goîng left but all cars need to go right once you make the left.I’m with you. This. If you live elsewhere and are used to places like Stop n Shop under the ahold umbrella, Wegmans is amazing. But if you know what Wegmans used to be, there’s also no substitute for the current thing.Wegmans has spoiled you all! I've lived just about everywhere and Wegmans is amongst the best standard grocery stores around. The baked goods and prepared food are much better than the norm.
Why will Kroger ruin Publix? Publix is 80% owned by its employees.This. If you live elsewhere and are used to places like Stop n Shop under the ahold umbrella, Wegmans is amazing. But if you know what Wegmans used to be, there’s also no substitute for the current thing.
There’s Publix and Wegmans and then there’s everything else IMO. But Kroger will eventually ruin Publix.
Did you two just say you prefer Vince Lombardi?Lombardi's is good as is Vince's in N. Syracuse. Vince's supports WAER and public radio.
