Rak at the 5, CJ at the 4

BMK will be in for Rak off the bench, James in for CJ - and may see CJ manning the middle some again

...makes sense, keep xmas starting...if he doesnt do well he is out in first 3 minutes or less...Center may be Cuse's weakness as we already were poor boarding

Regardless, Xmas will be needed tonight and Monday, and will get big minutes, SU will need his 5 fouls.

This would be very smart.

Give's a shot of confidence to Rak and maybe lights a fire under BMK if he feels "overlooked" at all. And if it's not working, then you're bringing in BMK off the bench -- a legit center -- to "fix" it rather than bringing Rak off the bench because... well... we have no other option.

Plus, without Fab you want to protect BMK and Rak, and having them both in you run the risk of them BOTH getting into foul trouble at the same time, and then we are screwed.

KJo will have to be a rebounding machine tonight. And Monday. I don't see Rak or BMK rebounding well against Cincy.

Cincy will go 4 guards against us alot. As long as someone puts a body on Gates we should be able to rebound.

In any case, I won't be surprised if Rak and/or BMK has 3 fouls by halftime both tonight and Monday.
Exactly. And this is what people are missing by saying well fab only got his first career 10 rebound game the other night...it's not like we're losing CarMELO etc... Both BMK and Rak are foul prone. That leaves us with CJ in the middle. Where are you Deshante Rile!

We cant afford a slow start today. I prefer Fair and BMK to start.

And bring in a demoted and possibly dejected Christmas off the bench? Now you're compounding our missing center.

Christmas moves to center. Fair takes his spot.

Syracuse sophomore C.J. Fair expected to get first career start in place of Melo, who will miss next two games due to academic issue. MW

Not only that, but I think Christmas is more offensively gifted than Baye. Seems like a smart move.

I'd be surprised if Rak started over Keita.

RAK is accustomed to starting, then coming out. Keita will be the change-up. Makes more sense to me.
