He is in the perfect spot. The school and fans love him. He is not expected to win a National Championship. He makes good money. The school is solvent. I get the argument for taking a payday, but does he need it? As long as he enjoys the job and school, he should stay.

Really couldn’t have said it better and we started to see that with Angeli although a small sample size. Defenses once they reach a certain level, it’s much easier to sustain that level (I hope we are starting to see that with us, especially the youth all over the field). Offense though, you need at least serviceable options at QB to replace previous guy. Clark Lea started 2-10, 5-7, and 2-10. Patience doesn’t always mean success, but if we have no patience we certainly will never get to the level that Vanderbilt has arrived at and potentially will remain at for the foreseeable future.

Agree. He was also terrific interacting with Orangeyes, spending hours with him when Dan was down in the dumps, talking about faith, family and never giving up hope.

If I had a son, and he played football, I would want him to play for Clark Lea. He is awesome.

He’s a perfect fit for Vandy. He can recruit great kids for a great school. Actually, Vandy is a perfect school for the ACC.

He grew up in Nashville with many family members who are Vandy grads, as he is. I do not see him leaving for any other SEC school.
