True story: the year we’re losing down there big something like 55-0 ultimately, when about 40-0 right before we left some Clemson fans around us engaged us, my NYC born Ny bred cynicism caused my initial reaction to think they’re rubbing it in with fake words of concern solace or whatever word is right where they felt bad for us.

Took a couple minutes of engagement and conversation to make it clear it wasn’t fake or anything “in your face”, rather genuine concern for us two fans stuck in a Clemson section.

To this day remains the most unique and paradoxical sports experience (or life for that matter) I’ve ever had.  Me and my psychologist buddy on the way home dissected it all came to the same conclusion and remained surprised by what occurred.  Still cooly strange to this day.

So yeah even when they’re up here best opponent fan base ever.
