Clemson looked the part last night, which is all most will remember going into this week's game.

The reality is yes they are Uber talented. But it is also true they have struggled against far inferior opponents this year anr have looked beatable and un-interested at times throughout the year.

So to me, a positive of last night besides Clemson winning, is they looked very, very good. Let's play our game and shock the world!

stay out of pure passing situations if you want a shot. the bull rush killed FSU all game so we better have a plan for it..

i do think our passing game is much quicker than the deep ball FSU throws almost every throw. if we can complete 3-4-5 plays in a row to create the tempo it may slow the rush just enough as those buys were huffing last night a few times and we wont let them sub out.

ED's internal clock in his head will have to be spot on. He can't hesitate or try to magician his way out of a collapsing pocket.

Ball has to get out of his hands quickly and he can't be throwing off his back foot.

Incomplete pass is better than a sack, has to keep that in his head.

I'd maybe try to utilize some screens to Strick to slow them down. We don't do that much but it could work.

FSu had WR open all night when they had time to throw. whether we can do it with less time will be the key. but hey NC state stayed in the game with them so who knows

There dl worries me but if we can protect we should be able to move and score
Absolutely. They destroyed Francois on numerous occasions. We have to get Dungey out of this one healthy to be able to beat NC state. Love to play with Clemson but they are just way too talented and our young OL scares the crap out of me.

Can our WR beat their man coverage?

Can our slot guys beat their LB's?

Can Dungey run enough without getting injured to slow the pass rush and draw the LBs in?

How is Clemson's D against a fast, no huddle offense? I'm talking about the one that hopefully doesn't have 9 O line penalties this Saturday.

It'll be a good experience for the team playing in Death Valley. But we just have to give it our best shot and NOT BEAT ourselves.

as long as we dont have the bc crew i guarantee we wont. from watching the clemson fsu game seemed like the back 7 is susceptible to the pass but there dl is nfl quality. i figure we will either go to the 5 wide sets/no back alignment (4 wr/strickland)that we used vs va tech or bring a tight end in to help the OL with a 3 wr and strickland split out. I think the Ol will do ok as they have done fine in every game but wake, especially with conway back to full strength if take all those false start penalties away from the last game.

We've seen some amazing progress with our players this season. I've not seen a team progress so consistently in terms of learning from mistakes. The coaches have also adapted well.

I think about that phrase "playing within yourself" that is sometimes used in sports - without being anywhere close to the team I feel like that is something this staff would aim for each player to achieve. Stay focused on your team, your own performance, your role. Let the game present itself. Winning will happen with this attitude.

How? Lots of leg cramps.

Watson does not want to run vs a team like SU (he'll expand his game against top teams but not a 4-4 team). If the SU D can force him to run and make him beat them with his legs SU will be in for a decent fight. If Watson can pick and choose his WR's and/or the running game is hitting on all cylinders it's going to be a huge problem. SU O-Line has to play over their heads and the wr's have to make plays. No drops. No turnovers. And no foolish penalties.

Dungey has to do the Texas two step: one two pass one two pass one two pass ...all night long.

I just hope we can limit big plays by Clemson and create a few of our own. Once again we'll be asking a lot of Eric Dungey, but he's been up to the task so far. Dino vs. Dabo #1 is the most intriguing for me. I wish it were in the dome, but this will be a different SU team than Dabo has played and that should help a little bit. Dino is starting to motivate the team and we have perhaps the greatest passing attack in our history. Compete and hope for some breaks...

I expect Syracuse to cover but not win. The things Clemson does on defense challenges the QB and receiving corps to go downfield. I don't know anything about your personnel so I don't know if it's something you can take advantage of.

We want to pass deep on single coverage. See: Amba Etta Tawo

Then I think you'll hit some big plays. Our front 6/7 wreaks havoc but the opportunities will be there.

Worth noting that our most experienced corner is also coming off his absolute worst game of the season. He was abused all game against FSU.
