Clemson route tree

Have to ask the coach. They based the game plan off of arm strength. With Tommy it's passes beyond 15 yards and up. Rarely see the out and curl routes.

Tommy would light up that route tree...WHY didn't he have it? For over 1 year he's been given calls for kids playing techmo bowl... not fair to the line, the wr, or the qb. I mean, he CAN, but basing your entire offense on low percentage throws is a recipe...

You guys notice they had the plays on their arms/etc.? That was new.

Yes. I first noticed it on Hendrix and was like, oh that's why he hasn't played much, he doesn't know the plays. Then I noticed everyone had them.

They had wrist bands for a couple of reasons
They weren’t new plays
The route tree was the same
We used a little more short game
We only had 10 completions
How the defense plays us mostly dictates our play calls and reads .
Quelly is developing nicely
Nykiem is a play maker
The line is improving
Yesterday was Clemson they took us lightly
They had no energy and we played hard and pushed them a bit . It still was a 26 point loss
But we temporarily stopped the potential free fall we were heading into . People talk about getting transfers we first need to keep our own from transferring ( I’m not talking about Tommy ) we still face a potential 1-9 season
Quality players could say hey I need to go somewhere better . Current commits could get posched by other coaches poking our
Woes . That’s why I’m happy with yesterday
Because our current players are still engaged .
People think we need to play the young QBs
Sure you want to see what they can do but
At the same time a win or 2 is more important
For the reasons I listed . Rex and I’m not Qb bashing here just making a comment yes is getting the ball out to not take a sack but if the guy isn’t open you just can’t throw it
Liberty dropped 3 picks he could have 7 in 2 games . Yesterday’s film will help him and he is still the best option that being said he had a few weeks of film under him maybe now Jacobian can get some extra practice reps .
Btw it’s about time we used a trick play and Nykiem had a huge play. We used to run trick plays all the time not so much last year and first time this year .

I liked use of the shorter game. Didn't see much of that, previously, so it looked new...lol...

Was it taken away before, or more focus on the short/intermediate routes? More of this please.

When teams play man / press it’s harder to do the quick game what our offense lacks is concepts of the outside we thinks he can blow by his guy he does hence all the deep shots
I watched jimmy g eastern Illinois tape
Lots of time
Lots of shoulder fake deep balls
Lots of time big WRs it was a highlight and he looked great . I’m gonna study it more and bowling green to get a better look to see the difference in the pass and run game
