I'll stand up at various points of a game, and can't say I've ever had a problem being told to sit down. In general if it's 2nd and 8 early in the 2nd quarter, and you're standing...and nobody else around you is...that's kind of a clue. the problem isn't the people around you, it's that you are apparently incapable of grasping the social signals from those people. I know there are some issues with this, but my experience has been that 9 out of 10 times the guy standing up and getting yelled at is a that is highly skilled in pissing everyone around him off.
