Clock management

I think the first TO at the end of the first half as a result of the officials not reviewing the catch. By the time we realized they weren’t going to review it, we had to call the TO. I’m still amazed it wasn’t reviewed.

our last drive time management likely cost us the game. We coulda ran far more clock but didn’t for some inexplicable reason

Clock management has been a huge issue since DB has been here but in that particular situation, I’m more concerned with the team scoring. Taking extra time off is a luxury.

I think HCDB assumed the catch was going to be reviewed. (It should have been). Another situation where the refs had more than a 0% reason to why we didn't score.

they didnt even reset the clock after t he review in the first half on the shrader pass did they?

if clock stuff is so easy why do 90% of the coaches handle it poorly.. how many here have done any sport where you have to deal with a clock in real time.

it aint easy to handle the clock and the play and the players in a 20-30-sec window with people yelling in your ear.

I agree things are moving fast on the sidelines and in the headsets so clock management is harder for coaches to execute than it seems on tv.
So why not just have someone on the headsets whose sole job is to think about clock Mgmt. When needed they get on mic and recommend timeouts out Dino calls it.
