CMU/WK bowl game today - most insane game in history?

WKU was up 49-14. CMU comes back to make it 49-42. WKU punts and pins them at the 1 with 1 second left. CMU completes a 99 yard hail mary with a bunch of laterals for a TD to make it 49-48. Then they went for 2 and failed.

The throw on the 2-PT conversion was questionable. Why did he put so much air under it? He could have rifled it to the guy on an out route and won it. Seems like the QB and receiver weren't on the same page. Love the gutsy call, but the execution was crap.

I think the most amazing part of all this is that there is a team called western Kentucky and they went bowling while we're at home watching.

All of that for a freaking fade wow. A comeback for the ages, they go for the win, a call I totally agree with, but then they basically call a 50-50 jump ball. Absolutely ridiculous. I have no idea why so many OC's have an infatuation with a fade. Maybe I could see if it was 1st down in the 1st quarter and you're throwing the fade to Megatron, but these fades in do or die situations are horrendous. I'd rather see a run up the middle then a fade in that situation.

Exactly. To lose the game because of a coaching decision like that after the tremendous comeback is ridiculous, should've tried to win it in OT.

Going for two may be gutsy and sometimes is the best option but when your offense is clicking there's no sense in letting the opposition make ONE defensive play to win the game, make them try to stop you every play when you have the ball.
