I wouldn't be surprised if Siriki Diabate became more relevant on the recruiting scene for CUSE. NYC market? Hmm.. Relevant athlete, success story, passionate/bright/well spoken kid = nice fit for SU... I think its great he is with the program.

Sounds like the support staff, outside the 10 "real" coaches, can't do off-campus things.

To be more clear than my previous link, here is a bylaw direct from the NCAA bible:

11.7.2.2 Contact and Evaluation of Prospective Student-Athletes. [FBS] Only those coaches who are
counted by the institution within the numerical limitations on head and assistant coaches may contact or evaluate
prospective student-athletes off campus. (Revised: 4/28/05 effective 8/1/05, 1/19/13 effective 8/1/13)

"Head and assistant coaches" is defined earlier as the 10 "regular" coaches, 1 HC + 9 AC's.
