Simple question. After the last 24 hours, I'm thinking it's a pretty sure bet.

What did I miss?

Read the thread below with 500+ responses to it.

Social media meltdown by the Cool Kid. Says he wishes he never left Arkansas, other coaches are calling to tell him he got a raw deal. Buh-bye, buddy. Who would think that a spurned coach could become such a cancer? Can't trust him to recruit anybody from here on out.

If he were to be fired, it would have happened already. He's not getting fired on Monday.

Were you on vacation? I think this has all been handled internally. It's practically old news at this point. As OrangePa said, McDonald seemed very involved on the sideline on Saturday. He's not getting fired midseason, but I doubt he's back here next year.

Agreed on all counts.

Although I doubt he leaves next offseason without some sort of step up, either in coaching title, or salary.

On Friday this might be a question, but McDonald showed great enthusiasm on the sideline Saturday. He's here until at least coach hiring season in December.

Agreed. I was at the game on Saturday. Putting the emotional outbursts earlier in the week aside, he acted very professionally on Saturday. And like you said, very enthusiastic. I would be floored if he left prior to season's end. And I still feel there is a place here for him if he wants it.

Holy bender batman. Please tell me you have been drunk for a good ten days, because it seems as if you literally time travelled for a bit. He will not be fired, and if he choses to leave it will be on his own accord.

It was evident on TV as well when you could catch glimpses of him. I actually hope he stays, learning to be an OC doesn't just happen quickly for most people. He still adds a lot of value to the staff and would hate to see him go at the end of the season.

As the WRs coach I would love him and think he has the potential to be a great OC someday.

There is no chance he stays beyond this year but he won't get fired. What does Shafer gain by doing that at this point? Ya know Shafer is going to have to hire assistants at some point if he stays on as head coach. If he treats McDonald like garbage good luck trying to recruit decent assistant coaches to come to Syracuse. Let McDonald coach the WR's the rest of the year and do a peaceful parting of the ways come December and be done with it.

I would be very surprised if he gets fired Monday.

Like, really surprised.

Oh, I think him leaving at the end of the season is a given.

Is that like Ryan Nassib having no chance to make the Giants?

Jeezus! Put it to rest already! Don't you have anything better to do?

Sukasz poll. You have and can do better.
