Anybody else get excited for the Coach P cameo on Hard Knocks tonight? He essentially repeated the word "excellent" seven times to describe a jj watt angle in the film room.

Seems like so long ago that he was our guy but I still connect him with us.

football is broken. having someone like jj watt should matter more. he's the best i've ever seen. i think he's better at his position than rice was at his maybe. but they don't have a qb so they're never any good.
JJ Watt is like Reggie White on the Eagles. White's stats from 85-93 are basically what Watt is doing now. White never won before he had a QB in GB either. I agree he might best player on defense but his position doesn't effect every down on defense like a QB does on offense.

He is impressive in every way - the way he trains - his skill - his effort to improve and his interaction with fans.

I agree, having one position out of twenty-two be so much more significant than the others is not a good thing. In baseball, the pitcher is most important, but half of the roster is made-up of pitchers.

It worked in college at least one time I can think of. Your 2001 Syracuse Orangemen.

I forgot Coach P was with the Texas until I started watching Hard Knocks.
Very nice to see that he's got job offers, as long as he wants to keep working.
