Syracuse fans will show up but the school hasn't been a great steward of money of late. Even for the last decade as the program declined, the fans have supported the team waaaay more than than other top-10 all time wins programs would have. You think UK would still be getting 20k fans through the door for a team that hadn't been to a tourney in 5 years? Or even relevant in the conference for a decade? Louisville built a huge new arena for basketball, hired a family coach who was awful and their attendance dropped by 50%. They're still struggling to get them back. [B]As of last year, SU was 5th in the country in paid attendance[/B] and Louisville had dropped to 15th nearly 5k people per game fewer than a losing SU team.
