I don't blame the BOT hiring Kent Syverud, he was very qualified and respected and at that time Syracuse dealing with the basketball sanctions, they needed someone of his pedigree to steady the ship and show we are serious, that is the persona Syverud gave off. But he was never the best culture fit at Syracuse long term. There was good and bad in his tenure. Not enough good though ultimately to where I think he stayed way past his value offering to Syracuse. Things kind of started to get sour with his tenure around 2019. I think he lasted so long after because three of those academic years the University had to deal with the most unprecedented thing to happen in most of our lifetimes, the pandemic which led directly into the most radical changes in the college athletic landscape of our lifetimes that no one really knew what was happening. Things have somewhat stabilized, we are going to be better on the blueprint for a successful Syracuse University and Syracuse athletics product moving forward.
