He's a longtime Hoiberg disciple and has roots in Wisconsin, but he's coached all over the country and is clearly excellent. He's brought talent from all over the world to Ames which is no small feat. His wife is a former WNBA player from Australia, so no family ties there. The AD who hired him is still at ISU.
