It's not necessarily a bad thing for Syracuse fan base if Syracuse lands Hodgson after Providence stretches Syracuse to provide more in the offer if it enables Hodgson delivering quicker. For Syracuse for the next coach, it's all about what happens after the initial success occurs and the ability to ride that wave and get back to being the top 15 program Syracuse is historically.
