I thought Hop had a bad deal when he filled in for JB, forcing him to take over a system that wasn't his, although he knew the system intimately. If you can coach you can coach no matter the pedigree.  I want someone who has a few years more experience overall than either Hodkins or Gerry. There are even a few D2 coaches that have been very successful that should get as close a look like Matt Margenthaler, Joe Lomardi, or Tom Brown to name a few. I would take these proven coaches at this point over GMac or Hodgkins.
