Gerry IS CUSE, obviously knows Syracuse through and through, recruited for Cuse for a lot of years and knows what it takes to win here. He’s a younger coach that from what I heard is very in tune with the NIL landscape. He has players respect, re has the championship as a player to back it up. He’s a GREAT communicator which Red was not and his teams play hard. I don’t care what level of division one basketball you coach Turing a 4 win team to a 20+ win team, winning your conference and probably should have beat the overall one seed in the tourney is IMPRESSIVE. He clearly can coach at the division one level, it’s just that the ACC is a wholeeeeee different ball game than the MAAC. And we won’t know how well he adapts or how well he can coach at this level unless we hire him. The thing that would SUCK the most is if we pass on him and he goes to another P4 school and lights it up….i think that would suck for everyone in Cuse. Fans, former players, admin, everyone. No one wants to see that
