Honestly, I just think for most of us we were so tired of JB. It was borderline illegal some of the things he did. And unfortunately still does. Name his mouth and utter denial as it relates to what he did but most importantly didn't do for this program. Meaning extreme passivity and utter inability to adapt. However he was literally a genius from a tactical standpoint in so many ways, obviously not all. The university knew he was on the cheap for literally decades. He certainly knew that as well even when our program was soaring. Nevertheless, Gerry is the right man for the job. Unequivocally because he is his own man. I very much trust the commitment from the University is viable and I also know they attempted to go outside, at least truly look. Even when there was clear blocking from JB I believe. However I also feel one specific candidate exposed himself, and we said goodbye. For that I am grateful. After all, we have always prided ourselves on our closeness, Trust is big and should be. Gerry is going to have 10 times more structural support than Red ever dreamed of. And I am certainly not stating I feel Red was a tremendous tactician at this point. I literally feel his feet got cut off at the beginning. What a disgusting transition, excuse me for being so strong in that. That was one person predominantly and it certainly was not Red. Different time, different era, different man who is unequivocally ready for this job I believe. I believe very strongly people are going to want to play for him, a lot like Tom Izzo. That is my hope. Support him, Leave him alone and I believe we might have another couple decade run on our hand. I trust things happen for a reason and always for good. It is a special place and so many of us know that. Please do not blame Gerry for JB, He is definitely one of US. Welcome Gerry
