Autry had no experience. If we had a job opening in the off season there would be a TON of HCs with program building/winning experience that would be interested. Still gotta make the right hire - but at least with a national search you have more data to look at; because you’re looking at coaches who’ve ran their own program/offense/defense before. With Red the only thing we knew was he was with JB the last 10 years as part of our downfall.
