I like what HCSS has done/continued from Marrone.  Specifically, Syracuse is bringing young leaders.  A benefit of bringing HS captains is that they provide leadership on the field.  The benefit bringing former coordinators and head coaches from lower divisions is that they provide more leadership.

One cost of success is that our coaches will be poached by schools with deeper pockets.  hCSS is looking to the future as well as immediate needs.  Let's be honest, McDonald will not be here for a long time if he ramps up this offense.  He will get an offer he can't refuse - nor would we condemn him for it - like HC, NFL, or $$$$.  HCSS has people in place who can step up as our staff receives what they have earned.  HCSS appears to know he will have turnover and he is keeping an eye on filling holes.  Good management is always grooming talent.  Reminds me of an old Air Form maxim that you bare not ready for promotion until you have trained your replacement.

I like how our staff works together and I believe these new adds will fall into place rather quick and we will be the better for it.  I will be sad to see great coaches leave but I will wish them all the best and enjoy watching HCSS backfill with guys who want to coach here.
