While I agree his rebounding can and should improve which is why I stated that he needs to be more active on glass he clearly covers more ground in the zone, drops back to cover the baseline better, rotates to help better than either starting forward and gets more tips and blocks in 3 minute spans than either forward.  I really studied his defense in the stretch when JB was giving him development minutes and his actual defense was clearly better but agree definite room for growth in rebounding area.

I am speaking from a high level Grassroots coaching perspective of 16 years experience including 3 years on Adidas Gauntlet circuit, coaching 100s of college level athletes and trust me when I tell you a young player cannot perform at a high level without confidence.  Now I am not saying that his performance has been stellar however we cannot guard anyone and Benny could have been part of that solution imo with a different coaching approach.  I watch him and see his shell-shocked demeanor.  I have seen people say he just is out there running around on offense, in my eyes that is a player with zero offensive confidence because he’s walking on eggshells.
