If that is the risk, and enough university presidents think it is, they may want to do some type of overall college sports reorganization such as this proposal in order to incorporate paying players and a collective bargaining agreement so they can settle the cases.  If this is so, it's the presidents who will decide this, not the commissioners of the B1G and SEC.  I doubt that Syverud & Gee of W.Va. would spend the time working on this and have their names associated with it without having consulted with and gotten at least some amount  of encouragement or interest from a significant number of other university presidents of P5/P4 schools.
