You guys can take the cautious wait and see approach but when he took the Jackson State job people laughed to and then he went 27-6.  College job is a college job.  Providing you can coach and motivate and have a good staff, there won't be a difference between levels; especially when he's bringing in major league recruits.

Yes, being a player doesn't mean you can coach, nobody ever said it did (even though most coaches have played), but when you're a winner you're a winner.  The guy is an amazing motivator, will bring in top talent and has surrounded himself with A LOT of P5 coaches.  I think he has 3 former head coaches on his staff, might be 4.

Some of you miss the point though, its really not about Deion.  It's about making a splash hire.  Going big.  Generate some excitement.  Syracuse will fire Dino next year and then we'll be kicking around Joe Morehead or Phil Montgomery, people who don't move the needle and will struggle to recruit, it'll be the same old same old.
