Second Notre Dame did beat Michigan State and they are the only team thus far to do that , they beat USC under Ed Oregron and they completely gave Pitt their game 2 weeks ago. While I don't like ND personally they are a legit top 25 team.
Stanford's schedule is TOUGHER than Alabama's their is no doubt in that. The SEC has the best top teams, but their middle isn't as good as the Pac-12's this season. If Alabama played a legit SEC East team in the regular season then the schedules would be closer, and you completely ignored the fact that because Texas A&M played 11-1 Florida versus Alabama playing 5-7 Tennessee last year is why Alabama played in the SEC championship game last year.
