... I opined that we had a fabulous opportunity in front of us if we could run the table through a bowl game and storm into the ACC next year.
Now, I was quick to say I didn't expect that, nor would I have been mad if it didn't happen. But DAMNNN if we didn't go and pull it the off!
I was so down on this program pre-season, hence my über-pessimistic 4-8 prediction. And I was resigned to another lost year when we fell to 2-4. So I can only tip my hat in the most sincere way to the players and coaches of this program.
There have been few runs as enjoyable in my time as an obsessed SU football fan as the past 7 games.
And I am so incredible grateful for Doug Marrone, his staff, and this senior class. They saved Syracuse football. That is no hyperbole or exaggeration.
Saved it.
