Dekker was never able to adjust to the hand checks and was frustrated throughout, but that's something young players have to learn how to play through especially in championship type games.  Other Badgers stepped up, and despite being taken out of their comfort zone they continued to battle and to compete and nearly pulled off an amazing championship win.

In the end we saw two great teams with high character kids, two great schools, and two great coaches.  Coach K once again does a masterful job.

On Friday some of the media in Indy called out college officiating for being bad.  Somehow I doubt that thread had legs.  That's entertainment.  Let's just hope the game continues to adjust and to improve.  Officials are already evaluated, but perhaps they can be better evaluated.  That's a process that could never be public, but perhaps throw quality independent third-party evaluators into the mix and spice up the feedback.  Create better guidelines and a clear rating system with some bite.  At the very least that would give the television ratings a boost to start the next season.
