Robbin’s got his start in the DC area singing for Jawbox in the 90s. Spent time between each song tuning his guitar (had some new strings he did not like) and chatting to the crowd. Mould came out 25 minutes after Robbins finished, with no intro or fanfare. Played his electric guitar solo the whole time without ever replacing it like you see at most shows these days. He sounded fantastic for a 64-year old guy and he still kills it on guitar. Just don’t know that I can say this is the best way to see him. He barely paused between songs, and if you know him, he’s got a bit of a formula. Played a lot of everything from his time in the business but changed up the delivery of a couple of his Sugar hits to where they were almost unrecognizable.
