Awful. Sad to even think through what's next or rationalize positives, but hope he makes the most of his time with the program this year. If he has any interest in coaching, he's certainly going to have a chance to view the game from that perspective. Imagine he could also transfer for his final year to play at an fcs school and score a million TDs.

No.

Usually you only get a 6th year if you lose two full seasons with injuries. Since Hunt played 5 games last year, the NCAA probably won't consider that as a "lost season" (the cutoff is 4 games). His redshirt in 2011 was non-medical.

He can apply for a waiver, but I wouldn't count on it being approved.
