Brandon Sharpe has a legitimate chance to get into the 'Cuse record books for sacks.
Prior to the season he had 7.5 career sacks.
He now has 4.5 this season, giving him 12 career sacks.

10th place is a 3-way tie (Friberg, Hawkins, and LaCasse) with 16.5 sacks.
9th place is Gregory with 17 sacks.

Sharpe is just 5 sacks away (with 8 games left because 'Cuse will be bowling) from tying Gregory for 9th place!
I'd say he has done so quietly, but can't say that after tonight's performance.

Hmmm, I see the box score is actually giving Sharpe 4 sacks!
Do they give a sack if you force an intentional grounding? And was that Sharpe that forced that?

After his freshman year I thought we would have seen more from him the last two years. I am so excited to see him start to dominate.

What's kind of incredible is that he isn't big, strong, particularly fast, though he is quick...he just kind of got there. I think that #78 on the PITT OL was pretty useless, too.
