We'll guys, I enjoyed your board this weekend, and now I write to say congrats.

That last nine minutes I didn't see coming at the time. But your guys made plays when they had to and didn't quit. We just had too many turnovers (you had something to do with that) and couldn't get the ball to go down when we needed it. The ball bounced your way several times, and we couldn't do anything about it. It was a tough, hard nosed game and both defenses were ruthless. Our defense in the last 15 mintues of the first half was about as perfect as we can play it, but as the game wore on yours was so good that we didn't have an answer, and certainly couldn't get the ball to the high post.

Good game, and good luck to you next weekend.

Classy post man. Much respect to your program. With Mr. Bennett on the sideline you guys will be back soon.

You guys, your program and especially you have been all class which is something I found out on the football side of things, thanks for stopping by and having some fun with us in that other thread.

You fell victim to a comeback for the ages, in terms of the stage on which it occurred and the swiftness with which it happened. You nevertheless had a tremendous season and are a great team that will no doubt be back contending for a title soon.

We have been where you are and can sympathize. And don't bother with the haters on the board. I saw that thread about your coach being overrated. Bennett is a class guy and one hell of a coach.
For the record the only people who have "been where you are" are the Yankees, Houston Oilers, Northern Iowa and thats about it. This was as monumental a comeback as I can ever remember seeing.

Bennett will get you guys to a Final Four, guaranteed. (I'm not saying that in a patronizing way)

Thanks! Quick question, what did you think of Kenny Smith's commentary in the post-game?

(Cliff's Notes) That when the game sort of breaks down a bit, or the pace picks up, UVA is so mechanical in running offense - which is normally a strength - they end up struggling because they can't freelance and just take it back at the other team?

Holy freakin' Cow! Just finished watching the game on DVR. I'm speechless.

Have we played anybody yet?

Wahoos, watch for Jay Huff next year. He may redshirt but looks like a Tyler Lydon clone. His Dad is a friend of mine.

My man, you are probably the best guest poster we have ever had on this board. To come here and innocently say, "ask me anything", then be barraged with 250+ additional posts where a few of the questions were about basketball, but the vast majority ranged from whimsical to downright abusive, and answer almost all of them with a sense of humor and grace -- well, kudos.

Gotta admit, you're a better man than I in this respect. If I was in your shoes I probably would have punched through a wall (and as a Michigan alum too, I did punch through a wall after the Michigan State game). Gained a lot of respect for UVa fans tonight.

Thank you! I thought Coach Bennett's post game interview was first class. He's a real good coach!

LSU football fans and now Hoo fans the best this board has seen.

Kenny Smith can kiss my a**. If it's Wisconsin, or you, running a disciplined offense to get good shots, that's good right? But because it's us, it's "mechanical" and bad for the game. It's more of an insult to you, really, because it discounts the design and ability of your defense, and the players you have running it and their athleticism and length. We just got done winning 89 games in 3 years, and top offensive efficiency ratings in kenpom. Just another reason to hate UNC.

It's just sore commentators trying to justify their comments from weeks ago when they cried Syracuse did not belong in the Tourney. They had to ignore all facts (SOS, RPI, Wins v. Top 50, Boeheim 9-game suspension, playing in the best conference - with two #1 seeds!) to come to the conclusion that Syracuse should not be in the tourney. If we had lost, they would be jumping up and down saying, "See I told you so!"

In so doing, every team we have payed has been the next NCAA champion before our game and then the are of a sudden they screwed up, fell flat, etc. The Cavs played hard, made Syracuse pay for mistakes in the first half. The Syracuse D clamped down in the 2nd half and the O got more aggressive. The press threw the Cavs off their game just enough to win. Nothing to be insulted by, Boeheim has been winning for 39 years and has been in big games before. Bennett will have the Cavs perennial winners (he's already off to a good start!).

Disclaimer: I reserve the right to start ragging, complaining and hating Bennett at a later date should he start dominating the Orange.

I asked, and I received!

I'm not sure he used the word "mechanical" specifically, I was paraphrasing. He said because the players have it all so ingrained in them to run Bennett's offense a certain way, and it's so routine/structured to do this or that, that when it becomes something other than the routine...well, you get the point.

Thanks, again. Not trying to wind you up, just wondering, and appreciate the thoughts!!
